![]() Hiroyuki Murase – Designer. Came to Düsseldorf for the first time in 2003 as art student of the Surrey Institute Art&Design College near London, to apply to the local Academy of Arts. Was accepted and studies sculpture there since 2004. After being surrounded by Shibori in his parental home all his childhood, from a distance Murase now rediscovers the uniqueness of the material and work of his father. As designer at Suzusan, he is responsible for design and product development. ![]() Hiroshi Murase. Director of Suzusan in Japan. Has been living the art of Shibori for over 40 years in the 4th generation. Honorary Chairman of World Shibori Networks Japan for many years, he enjoys a world-wide reputation as luminary of the Shibori craft. His constant quest of combining the traditional craft with modern design and innovative materials defines Suzusan Shibori's unique abilities. ![]() Christian Dietsch. While studying business administration in Düsseldorf, he made the chance acquaintance with Hiroyuki Murase and hence was exposed to the Japanese textile finishing technique Shibori. Fascinated by the precision and uniqueness of this craft, he immediately became enthusiastic about the idea of bringing Suzusan Shibori to Europe along with the Murase family. As managing director, Dietsch is responsible for Marketing and Finance at Suzusan since the company's founding in 2008. |
